Some recent teams that you may (or may not) remember!
The Buffalo Stampede basketball team is a PBL team playing in their inaugural year (sort of). The Stampede trace their roots back to previous minor league basketball teams in town starting with the Dragons. The owner of the other minor league basketball team in town (the Rapids and then the Silverbacks and then the Sharks) merged teams into one and switched leagues from the ABA to the new PBL. The team plays their home games at the Canisius Koessler Center and is hoping to become a minor league affiliate of the NBA Toronto Raptors.
The original logo of the Silverbacks drew negative and critical reviews so team ownership changed the logo to the one seen below.
Personally I think this logo is the best of all of them, just a great logo.
The original Dragons logo.
The Buffalo Destroyers were an Arena Football League team playing in the HSBC Arena from 1999 until 2003 when they relocated to Columbus, OH.
The Buffalo Stampede was a Roller Hockey team that played in the RHI for 2 seasons in 1994-95. They played their games at The Aud. What a hideous logo, to quote Adam Sandler "Who are the Ad Wizards who came up with this one?".
After the 1995 season the Stampede changed their name to the Wings and played through the 1999 season before folding.
